The Hotel Abi d’Oru, standing for «golden bee» in Sardinian, has been creating 5-star relaxation and happy memories since 1963. Luxury service that is permeated with that special Sardinian brand of warm hospitality. The story of the Abi d’Oru is one of ingenuity and hard work: this historic hotel, the first built in Porto Rotondo and the Costa Smeralda. Three generations of guests love its unmistakable charms: wonderfully attentive staff, a golden beach lapped by the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Marinella and the sea breeze that carries into the rooms each morning.
The hotel’s typical hexagonal pavilions are home to 150 rooms. Those include 14 Junior Suites, 8 Classic Suites, 8 Deluxe Suites and 2 Signature Suites. As well, the hotel features 4 restaurants and 3 bars.In addition, there is the Bee Happy Kids Club, a space where our little guests can have fun. A world specially tailored to kids, where they can make friends, play and get creative under the supervision of trusted professionals. Besides, the private gardens at Hotel Abi d’Oru border the beach and include a natural pond, two large heated pools and a relaxation area with Jacuzzi and a modern spa opening onto the grounds.

The Abi d’Oru’s 150 rooms — which include 14 Junior Suites, 18 Suites and 2 recently refurbished Signature Suites — almost all enjoy sea or garden views.
Our Spa is a refuge for the soul, where calm and attentive staff take care of every need of yours, completing the wellness offering at Abi Spa. Four rooms, named after the essential fragrances of Sardinia, are available for massages and all our spa treatments.
External guests can also visit the sauna, the Turkish bath, all of our emotional showers, the ice waterfall and the relaxation area with its Himalayan salt walls. Besides, aromatic herbal infusions are at your disposal and served both here and by the pool.
The Private Spa is a reserved space overlooking the pool which offers a sauna, Turkish bath, jacuzzi, loungers and couples massages. The Private Spa can be booked for exclusive use to enjoy wellness treatments in total seclusion.
Wide beach and shallow waters of Marinella Beach
Marinella beach, one of the most beautiful in Sardinia, lies just beyond the garden, the pool and the natural pond. Its fine white sands meet a turquoise sea that shimmers into every imaginable shade of blue as it melts into the horizon. A section of the beach is reserved for guests of the Abi d’Oru with loungers and umbrellas, this is also the most sheltered part of the shore on breezy days. Our Marinella Restaurant and Bar conjures up timeless flavours of summer holidays, perfectly complementing the poetry of a long day by the sea..
Standard rooms are decorated in the typical Sardinian style. Cool and shaded, they have private balconies looking onto the garden or the hills that shelter the gulf from mistral winds.
Varying from 18 to 25 sqm, they are equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, minibar, safe, beach towels and dressing gowns. Available with a double bed or two singles. Baby cots or an extra bed can be added in some rooms.

Superior Rooms, decorated using typical Sardinian elements and colours with a contemporary twist, offer wonderful views over the Gulf of Marinella from their private balconies or, on the ground floor, from patios which provide direct beach access.
They vary from 18 to 25 sqm and are equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, minibar, safe, beach towels and dressing gowns. Available with a double bed or two singles. Baby cots or an extra bed can be added in some rooms.

Contemporary elegance and Sardinian tradition melt into a unique style mix in the elegantly refurbished Deluxe Rooms. Some of them feature balconies with views over the Gulf of Marinella, while others are ground floor with direct access to the beach and limited sea view. Deluxe rooms come equipped with A/C, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, minibar, safe, beach towels and bathrobes, and measure between 22 and 28 sqm. They are outfitted with a double bed or two single beds. An optional extra bed or crib can be added in some rooms upon request.

The spacious Junior Suites, all of which have been completely renovated, offer sea views. Decorated in a Mediterranean style, using traditional local materials and tones, such as marble from Orosei and woven rugs from Samugheo, their open plan layouts vary from 30 to 40 sqm and include a bedroom and living area. Chairs and tables on the terrace are perfect for enjoying an unparalleled vista over the Gulf of Marinella.
Junior Suites are equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, minibar, safe, kettle, beach towels, slippers, dressing gowns and amenity packs. Baby cot or extra bed available on request.

The Family Classic accommodations (about 52sqm) consist of a large bedroom with an independent bathroom and a living room with a French sofa bed (140 x 180cm) with a second bathroom with shower.
The bedroom and the living room are separated by a door. They all have a small terrace sea-side, and all have satellite TV, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, minibar, safe, beach towels and bathrobes.

The Deluxe Suites, which have all been renovated, boast magnificent sea views. They feature a spacious bedroom and a separate sitting area with 2 sofa beds (dormeuse). Between 50 and 55 sqm. they can accomodate 2 to 4 people and are finely furnished in Sardinian style, with warm and rich colors. These Suites have spacious balconies with stunning views of the sea or large patios with access to the pool and garden area. They come equipped with A/C, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, minibar, safe, beach towels and bathrobes.

Named after Nobel prize winning Sardinian author Grazia Deledda and the judge Eleonora of Arborea, these Signature Suites cover 100sqm each. They embody a simple luxury that reflects Sardinian traditions, elegantly communicated through a careful combination of materials and furnishings. Each suite offers two bedrooms, two bathrooms in golden marble from Ulassai with a bath or shower and a living room opening onto a terrace overlooking the bay.
The suites are decorated using local woods, parquet and a profusion of golden embellishments, in reference to the hotel’s name and the quality of service offered at the Abi d’Oru Hotel & Spa.
Guests in the Grazia and Eleonora Signature Suites enjoy exclusive benefits including reserved loungers and umbrellas along the waterfront, as well as mineral water and fresh fruit served regularly throughout the day. As well, here breakfast is served in a reserved area of the restaurant from a special à la carte menu.
