In 1989, Les Fermes de Marie began paving the way for a new genre of hotel management, and a style that has since then become a standard throughout the world. The hotel is part of the family owned Sibuet Maisons & Hotels group. The nine chalets started life several centuries ago as farmhouses and were each painstakingly salvaged and meticulously re-built to create the 70-bedroom hotel in 1989 by Joseph Sibuet. Each of the farms was dismantled, every piece of wood was numbered, and then reassembled on concrete frames in line with the heritage and the traditions of the area. Each and every stone, beam and antique is filled with history thus creating a unique and enchanting atmosphere, the epitome of a luxury retreat.
There is one restaurant: buffet breakfast, à la carte and gourmet.
Le Restaurant Traditionnel in the heart of the main chalet offers elegant cuisine highlighting local flavors. Supporting talented producers, the best ones are selected in harmony with the seasons.

The Alpage des Fermes de Marie has preserved the hardworking spirit of the farmers who used to bring their animals up to the high mountain pastures to graze in times gone by.
